In 19998(maybe about that time), the movie was introduced through TV and CM in the late nights in Japan. So, it must have been shown in the theaters in Japan at that time.
It is a kind of European or American movie. The main character is a rich littile girl who seems about 8 years old.
She likes stabbing her dolls' eyes, so her parents are totally at a loss.
She thinks it's nothing strange and she feels nobody understands her.
Oneday, she goes into the woods and meets a boy who lives there, seems bad and about 18 years old.
At first sight, he looks scary, but he is so gentle, and two of them fall in love each other.
But people around that place don't like him, so people including her parents get angry about their relationship.
That girl gets confused and falls into the river accidently, and the boy jumps into the river without any hesitation.
That's all I remeber, and I will really appriciate if you tell me the title, casts, or even some slight clues.

１９９８年（もしくはその前後）だったと思うのですが、夜中のＴＶで、ＣＭや紹介などされていた映画で、おそらくそのあたりに日本で公開された映画だったと思うのですが、シーンは覚えていますが、タイトルを覚えていなくてどなたか心あたりがあれば教えていただきたいです。欧米系の映画です。
映画の主人公は８才くらいのお金持ちの少女で、何不自由なく育てられています。しかし、少女は人形の目を刺したりして遊ぶのを趣味とし、親は困り果てています。少女にとってはその遊びは普通のことで誰も自分を理解しないと苦しみます。
ある日、少女は森の奥に住む１８才くらいの不良少年と出会います。見かけは怖い感じですが、彼のやさしさに少女は引かれ、二人は恋に落ちます。
しかし、その地域の人々は彼を嫌っていて、また年の離れた二人の恋に家族やまわりは猛反対します。
少女が困惑して川に落ち、その少年が何の迷いもなく川に飛び込みます。
以上覚えている範囲ですが、もしタイトルや出演者など知っていて教えていただけたら幸いです。

「キャメロットガーデンの少女」かなぁと思いますが
少女が川に落ちるシーンはなかったような気がします…。

ずっと気になっていたけど、周りは誰も知らなくて。。本当にありがとうございます。
ネットで映像を少し見て、昔見た映像と一緒だったので確信しました。
英語の方19998→1998ですね。寝ぼけてました。。
川に飛び込んだのは少女じゃないですね。。昔ＴＶを夜中に見ていた時の一瞬の映像だったので少し記憶が曖昧でした。。
